Sound familiar?

If you practise Yin...

  • You love Yin and you're craving more than one class a week can give you
  • You've spent hours in dragon pose and still don't really know what it's doing
  • Some days a hold feels blissful, other days it's quietly unbearable, and you've no idea why
  • You hear teachers talk about fascia, meridians and chakras, and you'd love to know what's real and what's just nice words
  • Your mind races the second you're asked to be still
  • You want a practice you can do at home that actually helps, not just a foam roller gathering dust in the corner

If you teach Yin...

  • Half your cues come from a class you took in 2019
  • A student asks "is this releasing my fascia?" and you smile and say "mmm, something like that"
  • You say "breathe into your hips" and quietly wonder what that actually means
  • You tell people to "go deeper" and then worry you've just told someone to hurt themselves
  • Stillness is meant to be calming, but some of your students look like they'd rather be at the dentist
  • You'd love to talk about chakras and prana, but you're not sure how to do it without sounding woo or getting it wrong
  • You're teaching lots of fast classes and your own body (and practice) is running on empty

None of this means you're doing it wrong. Yin looks simple from the outside, but it has real depth: the body, the nervous system and the traditions behind it. Whether you want to understand your own practice or teach it to others, that's what these five days are for.

What if you understood the why, and not just the what?

This training brings together three things that usually get taught separately: Yin yoga, myofascial release and energetic anatomy. You'll learn them through modern anatomy and traditional yogic teachings, and you'll know which is which.

By the end, you'll be able to:

  • Explain what's happening in a long hold, in plain English, without bluffing
  • Stop chasing depth. You'll understand why more sensation isn't more benefit, and you'll be able to teach that
  • Make stillness work for everyone, including the students who find it uncomfortable
  • Teach myofascial release with balls, rollers and self-massage, safely and with confidence
  • Bring in prana, nadis, chakras and the vayus in a way that's clear, grounded and respectful of where they come from
  • Plan a whole class with a clear intention, and leave room for each student's own experience
  • Look after your own practice, and not just everyone else's

Is this for you?

This training is open to yoga teachers and to practitioners who want to go deeper into Yin. You don't need to be a teacher to join.

For yoga teachers

  • You're qualified and want to teach Yin and myofascial release properly
  • You already teach Yin and want more depth and confidence behind it
  • You want a slower, more therapeutic offer for your timetable, workshops or 1:1s
  • You like evidence, but you're not dismissive of tradition

For practitioners

  • You love Yin and want to understand what's really going on in your body during those long holds
  • You want a slower practice to balance a busy life, fast classes, running or the gym
  • You're curious about fascia, the nervous system and yoga's energetic teachings
  • You'd like simple tools (balls, rollers, self-massage) to look after your body at home
  • You're thinking about teaching one day and want to dip a toe in first

This isn't for you if...

  • You want a certificate without turning up and doing the work
  • You're looking for fascia miracles. We'll look honestly at what the evidence does and doesn't say
  • You want to be told there's one correct way to do every pose

What makes this training special

Anatomy and tradition, side by side

You'll learn contemporary anatomy and yoga's energetic teachings properly, and understand where each one comes from, so you can teach both with clarity and integrity.

Honest about fascia

We'll look at current evidence alongside the popular claims about "release", so you can talk about it with real confidence.

Choice built in

You'll learn to offer alternatives, props, eyes-open options and movement, so your classes work for real bodies and real nervous systems, not just the bendy ones.

Practical from day one

Every topic ends in something you can use in your next class.

Questions you might have

Do I need to be a yoga teacher to join?

No. The training is open to anyone with a regular yoga practice who wants to understand Yin more deeply. You'll come away with a better understanding of your own body, a toolkit for looking after yourself, and a practice you can keep coming back to.

Can I teach yoga after this training?

If you're already a qualified yoga teacher, yes: you can teach Yin yoga and myofascial release once you've successfully completed the training. If you're not a teacher yet, you'll need a 200-hour yoga teacher training before leading classes. You're still very welcome to join for your own practice.

Is it accredited?

Yes, with Yoga Pros. Holly holds their Trainer PRO accreditation, the highest level they award.

I'm not very flexible. Is that a problem?

Not at all. This training is about not chasing depth. Stiffer bodies often make the best Yin teachers, because they understand what students are feeling.

Isn't Yin just lying on a bolster?

From the outside, maybe. But knowing what's happening in the tissues and nervous system during that time, and how to guide people through it, is the whole skill. That's what you'll learn here.

Is the energy stuff a bit woo?

We teach prana, chakras and the vayus as traditional yogic frameworks, clearly separated from anatomy. You'll understand both and decide how you bring them into your teaching.

Is there work outside the training days?

Some recommended pre- and post-reading, plus practice teaching on one evening during the week. Other than that, nothing extra.

It starts on a Wednesday. Is it worth taking time off work?

We think so. Five days in one go means you finish fully trained and ready to teach, rather than dragging it out over months of weekends.

I trained with Yoga Hero or The Yoga Solution. Is there a discount?

Yes. Graduates get 20% off the full price when paying in full, so it's £600 instead of £750. Email Holly for your discount code before you book. The discount can't be combined with the super early bird price or pay in 2.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. You can pay in 2 instalments of £385 (£770 in total): the first when you book, and the second on Wednesday 6th October 2027, 16 weeks before the training. You can use Klarna or Clearpay for the first £385 payment, but the second £385 needs to be paid in one go. Or choose pay in full, then select Klarna or Clearpay at checkout to split the whole amount into 3 or 4 payments.
