How the two hours work

One hour on the mat, one hour on the training

  • Hour one: Hatha and Yin class. Be guided through a yummy Yin and Hatha yoga class, sprinkled with insights from yoga philosophy to make life that little bit easier, and some accessible anatomical information to help make your practice that little bit safer, and deeper.
  • Hour two: the training and Q&A. A short presentation about the 200-hour training, then time for all your questions.

This is a taster of what our yoga teacher training covers, and how you can join us to deepen your own yoga knowledge and practice. Ultimately, it’s there to help you commit to a yoga practice for life, if you’d like to!

Who it’s for

This workshop is for

  • Passionate yogis
  • Anyone who has said to a stressed friend ‘you should try yoga’
  • Anyone who wants to start to understand why yoga is so beneficial for both body and mind

“Having embarked on the course to further my own knowledge rather than to qualify as a teacher, I was slightly nervous I would be out of my depth. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The course is perfect for anyone wanting to teach now, in the future, or just to deepen their own yoga practice.”

Your teacher

Hi, I’m Holly!

I’ve been teaching on yoga teacher trainings since 2018. In that time, I’ve learnt, experienced and studied how someone takes in the information they need to teach a safe and beneficial yoga class, and what it takes to give someone the self-belief that they can do it.

Spoiler alert: the self-belief that you can teach yoga comes from teaching yoga. That’s why, on our training, you teach from Day 2! Yes, really. It’s flipping nerve-wracking, but by the end of the training, you’ll thank me.

I also love sharing evidence-based research on why yoga is so powerful: for managing stress and anxiety, easing pain (including chronic pain), improving the connection with our bodies, and so much more.

In short, teaching yoga teacher trainings is a joy. I love seeing the bonds form within the group, and I love watching people break down the “I can’t…” barriers they’ve built up over their lives.

This workshop is a taste of how I teach, so come and see if it’s for you.

  • Teaching on yoga teacher trainings since 2018
  • Trainer PRO with Yoga Pros, the highest level of accreditation they award

About the Yin training

Before you book

Do I need to be thinking about teaching?
Not at all. This workshop is for anyone who wants to go deeper with their own practice. If teaching appeals later, brilliant. If not, also brilliant.
What should I bring?
Comfy clothes you can move in. Mats and props are provided at the studio.
Will I be pushed to sign up for the training?
No. The second hour is there to answer your questions and help you decide, not to sell to you on the spot.
Who sees my details?
The training is run with Holly McFee of The Yoga Solution. When you book, your name and email are shared with Love Yoga Leeds and with Holly at The Yoga Solution, so we can send you your booking details and information about the training. You can unsubscribe from emails from either of us at any time, using the link at the bottom of any email.
