Teacher Training Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to our 200-hour Hatha & Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training and our 200-hour + Yin Teacher Training, starting in September 2027. Please read them carefully before you book. By booking a place, you agree to these terms.

If anything here isn’t clear, email us at hello@loveyogaleeds.com before you book and we’ll happily explain.

1. Who we are

The training is run by Love Yoga Leeds, Chapel House Business Centre, 378 Meanwood Road, Leeds LS7 2JF, in partnership with Holly of The Yoga Solution, who leads the training. In these terms, “we” and “us” means Love Yoga Leeds and The Yoga Solution, and “you” means the person booking a place.

3. Applications

  • Places on the training are by application, using our application form. Applying does not guarantee you a place.
  • We may ask you to have a chat with us before offering you a place. We can decline an application at our discretion, and we don’t have to give a reason.
  • If we offer you a place, we will send you a link to book and pay. Your place is only confirmed once you have paid (in full, or your deposit) and received a booking confirmation email from Bookwhen.
  • A binding agreement between you and us starts when you receive that booking confirmation.
  • Your place is personal to you. You cannot pass it to someone else without our written agreement, and anyone taking your place would need to apply and be accepted.

  • The £595 deposit is your first payment towards your course fees. It is not a separate charge.
  • After you book, we will email you a link to set up your Direct Debit. You must set it up within 7 days. If you don’t, we may cancel your booking and treat it as a cancellation by you (see section 6).
  • We will email you an invoice before each payment is taken.
  • You can pay off the remaining balance early at any time. Just email us.

Missed and late payments

  • If a payment fails, we will let you know and try to collect it again. You must make the payment within 14 days of us telling you it has failed.
  • A £25 late payment fee is charged each time a payment fails or is late, to cover the admin time involved in chasing it. We will add it to your next payment or invoice it separately.
  • If a payment is still outstanding after 14 days, we may cancel your place. This counts as a cancellation by you, and the refund rules in section 6 apply.
  • All course fees must be paid in full by the course start date, Friday 10th September 2027. You cannot attend the training until your fees are paid in full.
  • We will not issue your certificate until all your fees have been paid.

6. Cancellations by you

We plan the training, book teachers and turn away other applicants based on the places we have confirmed. That is why refunds reduce the closer we get to the start date.

If you cancelYou get back
By 9th December 2026 (more than 9 months before the start date)75% of what you have paid
10th December 2026 to 9th March 2027 (6 to 9 months before)50% of what you have paid
10th March to 9th June 2027 (3 to 6 months before)25% of what you have paid
From 10th June 2027 (within 3 months of the start date)No refund, and any outstanding payments remain due
  • Payment processing fees and a £50 admin fee are deducted from all refunds.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing by email to hello@loveyogaleeds.com. The date we receive your email is the date of cancellation.
  • If you are on a payment plan and cancel before 10th June 2027, we will cancel your Direct Debit and your refund will be based on what you have paid so far.
  • If you cancel from 10th June 2027, you remain responsible for the full course fee, including any payments still to be made.
  • If you stop attending part-way through the training, or are asked to leave under section 10, no refund is due.
  • We aim to pay refunds within 14 days of your cancellation, back to the original payment method.

Your legal right to cancel within 14 days

If you book online, the law gives you the right to cancel within 14 days of your booking confirmation and get a full refund, as long as the training has not started. To use this right, email us at hello@loveyogaleeds.com within the 14 days. After 14 days, the cancellation terms above apply.

7. Changes or cancellation by us

  • Occasionally we may need to change dates, times, the venue or teachers, for example because of illness or circumstances outside our control. We will tell you as early as possible and keep any changes to a minimum.
  • If we make a major change to the dates and you cannot attend the new dates, you can cancel and receive a full refund of everything you have paid, including your deposit.
  • We need a minimum number of trainees for the training to run. If we have to cancel the training for any reason, including low numbers, we will tell you at least 8 weeks before the start date where possible, and refund everything you have paid in full, including your deposit.
  • We are not responsible for any other costs you have incurred, such as travel, accommodation or time off work, if we change or cancel the training.

8. Attendance

  • To graduate, you need to attend all training days, arrive on time and take part fully.
  • If you miss any part of the training, you must tell us as soon as possible. We will agree with you how you can catch up on what you have missed. This may involve extra work, joining another session or a one-to-one session, which may carry an extra cost.
  • If you miss a significant part of the training, we may not be able to certify you.
  • No refunds or reductions are given for missed sessions.

9. Assessment and certification

  • The 200-hour training is accredited with Yoga Pros.
  • To receive your certificate, you need to: attend all training days (or make up anything you miss, as agreed with us); complete your home study, reading and written assignments; complete your teaching practice and teaching assessment to the required standard; and have paid your fees in full.
  • If you do not reach the required standard, we will give you feedback and a chance to resubmit or be reassessed. Extra reassessments may carry a cost.
  • Students on the 200-hour + Yin training receive a separate certificate for the Yin training once they have completed it.
  • Once you qualify, it is your responsibility to get your own teaching insurance and to register with any professional body you choose to join.

10. Your health and wellbeing

  • Teacher training is physically, mentally and emotionally demanding. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before the training starts.
  • You must tell us about any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or anything else that may affect your ability to take part safely, both before the training and if anything changes during it. Everything you share is kept confidential.
  • We may ask you to get advice from your GP before taking part.
  • You take part at your own risk and are responsible for working within your own limits. Please tell your teacher if something doesn’t feel right.

11. Conduct

Teacher training works because the group feels safe. Everyone needs to be able to practise, ask questions, get things wrong and share openly. This code of conduct is how we protect that.

Respect for everyone

  • Treat other trainees, teachers, studio staff and visitors with kindness and respect, in the room and online.
  • We welcome everyone, whatever your age, body, background, race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or level of experience. Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated.
  • Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or aggressive, threatening or abusive behaviour, whether verbal, physical or written, is not tolerated. This includes raised voices, belittling comments and unwanted contact.
  • The same standards apply in group chats, emails and social media connected to the training.

Touch and consent

  • Hands-on adjustments and assists are only ever given with consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason.
  • When you practise assists on other trainees, always ask first, check in as you go, and stop immediately if asked.
  • Respect personal space and boundaries at all times.

Confidentiality

  • People share personal things during training. What others share in the group stays in the group.
  • Do not share other trainees’ personal information, stories, photos or videos without their permission.

Safety

  • Follow your teachers’ instructions on safety, and tell us straight away about any injury, accident or near miss.
  • Do not attend any part of the training under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
  • If you are unwell or have something infectious, please stay at home and let us know.
  • Look after the studio, its equipment and other people’s belongings. You may be asked to pay for any damage caused deliberately or carelessly.

Being part of the training

  • Arrive on time, ready to start, and stay for the full day.
  • Keep your phone on silent and away during sessions, unless we ask you to use it.
  • Complete your home study, assignments and teaching practice on time.
  • Give and receive feedback kindly and constructively. Everyone is learning.
  • Follow the studio’s house rules.

Representing yourself and the training

  • Do not describe yourself as a qualified or certified yoga teacher until you have received your certificate.
  • Do not post training content, or photos and videos of other trainees, online without permission.
  • Keep professional boundaries with your teachers, studio staff and anyone you practise teaching on.

Raising a concern

If something has upset you, or you are worried about anyone’s behaviour or wellbeing, please talk to Holly or Zoe, or email hello@loveyogaleeds.com. We will take it seriously, deal with it fairly and keep it as confidential as we can.

If the code of conduct is broken

  • Usually we will start with a private conversation, explain the concern and agree how things need to change.
  • If it continues, we will give you a written warning.
  • If the behaviour carries on, or is serious, we may remove you from the training. This includes violence, threats, harassment, discrimination, or putting anyone’s safety at risk.
  • In serious cases we may ask you to leave immediately, without a conversation or warning first. Where the law has been broken, we may involve the police.
  • If you are removed from the training, no refund is due, any outstanding payments remain due, and we may not certify you.

12. Course materials and intellectual property

  • All training materials, including the training manual, handouts, slides, sequences, recordings and any online content, belong to The Yoga Solution and Love Yoga Leeds.
  • You can use them for your own learning and in your own teaching.
  • You must not copy, share, sell, publish or distribute the materials, or use them to create or deliver any teacher training, course or workshop, without our written permission.
  • You must not record any part of the training, by audio or video, without our permission.
  • These obligations continue after the training ends.

13. Photos and filming

We may take photos or short videos during the training to use on our website and social media. We will always ask before featuring you. If you would rather not appear, just tell us and we will make sure you are not included.

14. Your personal information

We use your personal information to manage your application, booking, payments, training and certification. We share only what is necessary with The Yoga Solution, Yoga Pros (for accreditation), and our payment and booking providers (Bookwhen, GoCardless, Stripe, Klarna and Clearpay). We will never sell your data. Please see our privacy policy for full details.

15. Our liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
  • Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the course fees you have paid.
  • We are not liable for any indirect losses, or for the loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.
  • Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

16. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of the training, please talk to us or email hello@loveyogaleeds.com. We will listen, and do our best to put things right.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in place when you booked applies to your booking, unless we agree a change with you.

18. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
