At Love Yoga Leeds, we offer a warm, inclusive programme of Kids Yoga in Leeds designed to support children’s confidence, emotional regulation and mental wellbeing. Our classes blend movement, breathing, mindfulness and calming practices — all taught in a fun, creative and non-competitive way.

Why Kids Need Yoga and Mindfulness

Children are growing up in a world that moves fast: more screens, more pressure, less downtime. Yoga and mindfulness give kids practical tools to calm their busy minds, manage big feelings, build confidence, and feel grounded in themselves. At Love Yoga Leeds, we teach simple techniques they can use anywhere, at home, before school, when anxious, overwhelmed, or finding it hard to sleep.

What to Expect

Our Kids Yoga classes are designed to be calm, fun, and completely pressure-free. There’s no competition, no expectations, and no parents in the room, just a warm, welcoming space where children can relax and be themselves.

🌈 A Safe, Supportive Environment

Children are welcomed exactly as they are — shy, energetic, anxious, excited, or anywhere in between. Every child is included, seen, and supported.

🧘‍♂️ Movement That Feels Good

We explore yoga poses through games, stories and creative flow, helping children build confidence, strength and body awareness in a way that feels fun and natural.

🌬️ Breathing & Mindfulness Tools

Your child will learn simple breathing techniques and mindful practices they can use any time they feel overwhelmed, worried or need a moment to reset.

💛 Emotional Regulation Skills

Through guided activities, grounding exercises and gentle reflection, children learn how to recognise feelings and find calm within themselves.

✨ Relaxation & Rest

Each class ends with a peaceful guided rest to help children unwind — often their favourite part of the session.

😊 Connection & Confidence

Kids make friends, build trust, and discover new ways to connect with themselves and others — without pressure or perfection.

Who is this class for?

Our Kids Yoga classes are designed for any child who needs space to move, breathe, and feel more grounded.
We don’t have strict age rules, but as a guide:

Who is this class for?

🌟 Recommended Age: 5+
Children aged 5 and above tend to get the most from the class — they can follow instructions, enjoy the games, and start learning simple mindfulness tools. ✨ Ideal for Ages 5–13

Younger children build confidence, coordination and emotional awareness.
Older children (up to around age 13) benefit from the calming practices, breathwork and grounding movement, especially if they are anxious, sensitive or struggling with school pressure.

💛 Perfect for Children Who:

- Feel overwhelmed or anxious
- Need help with emotional regulation
- Struggle to switch off at bedtime
- Would benefit from confidence-building
- Enjoy movement and mindful play
- Are looiking for something that isn't competitive sport
- Need a gentle reset after school

Teenagers are welcome
While this class is primarily designed for primary-aged children, pre-teens and early teens (up to around age 13) are welcome if they enjoy a playful but calming style of yoga. Teen Yoga classes will be coming in 2026.

When: Thursdays with Debs 6pm-7pm in blocks please check the timetable for dates. Debs also teaches Family Yoga one Saturday per month at Love Yoga.
