"For me, when the breath, movement and music all come together, you can find that incredible flow state. It becomes a moving meditation, and there is something so magical about that feeling that it’s almost impossible to put into words. That’s what I hope you will experience in my classes and take with that feeling with you when you leave"

Is there a quote, mantra, or philosophy that guides your teaching - or your life?

“To the teacher who is beyond all of this, I bow.” 🙏

  • What inspired you to become a yoga teacher?

I had practised yoga for several years and had a really committed practice. I did my first teacher training in 2020, not because I had any intention of teaching, but because I felt a real calling to understand more and explore the deeper side of the practice.

That same year I took my first Rocket class online and felt an immediate and quite profound sense of, “this is where I belong.” I’ve had a committed Rocket practice ever since.

I went on to complete another 200-hour teacher training because I had completely fallen in love with the practice and wanted to share something that I genuinely loved. Rocket felt like the practice that connected with me the most – it felt like me – and that was really what inspired me to teach.

  • How would you describe your teaching style and the kind of space you hold?

I teach from the heart and soul. I teach what is genuinely important to me and share what I live and love.

Music is a huge part of my life and a huge part of my teaching. I want my students to really enjoy my classes — with no ego, no competition and no pressure. I like to bring a sense of humour and spirituality into the room, while sharing the true essence of yoga in a way that feels modern, accessible and relevant.

  • How do you want people to feel when they leave your class?

I always want my students to leave with a deep sense of calm and relaxation. Although my classes are fun and can definitely be challenging, they are very much led by the breath.

For me, when the breath, movement and music all come together, you can find that incredible flow state. It becomes a moving meditation, and there is something so magical about that feeling that it’s almost impossible to put into words. That’s what I hope people experience in my classes and take with them when they leave.

  • What can someone expect if they’re coming to your class for the first time?

A cheery, friendly welcome and a class with no ego and no competition. I offer lots of options, so the class can work for many different levels and you can take the practice wherever you need to on that particular day.

Expect a great selection of music and a structured sequence that you can get to know, build on and develop over time. There’s always space to challenge yourself, but equally space to pull back and just enjoy the practice. I want everyone to feel comfortable, included and able to make the class their own.

  • Is there a quote, mantra, or philosophy that guides your teaching – or your life?

“To the teacher who is beyond all of this, I bow.” 🙏

This really resonates with me. For me, it’s about recognising that there is always something more to learn — staying humble, remaining a student and being open to the teachers and lessons that appear throughout life.

  • What do you do for fun outside of teaching?

Good coffee, good wine, good chocolate… and spending time with the people I love – my family and friends. The simple things really!
