"You get exactly what it says on the tin coming to my classes"

Elena Teaches the Beginners courses at Love Yoga Leeds

Amy teaches Monday Vinyasa Flow 9:15am + Saturday Vinyasa Flow 9:30am

[Name] first discovered yoga in her thirties, initially as a way to pause and find space amidst the busyness of everyday life. Over time, her practice gently evolved, from something purely physical into a much more embodied, functional, and contemplative journey.

With over two decades of practice and a deep curiosity for the many layers of yoga, she brings warmth, insight, and grounded knowledge to her teaching. After completing her first teacher training with Yoga Campus in 2016, she continued her studies in Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra, and is currently completing a further 300+ hour training with Barefoot Body Training.

Her approach to teaching is down-to-earth, supportive, and gently playful – always creating a brave space for people to explore functional movement, stillness, and rest. Whether you’re building strength or surrendering into softness, her classes invite you to reconnect with yourself, just as you are.

Beginner Yoga Leeds

Is there a quote, mantra, or philosophy that guides your teaching – or your life?

“Slow down! Embrace the opportunities to do nothing."

  • What inspired you to become a yoga teacher? Yoga has been an absolute lifesaver for me ,and I wanted to share this amazing practice with people who might also benefit from it.
  • How would you describe your teaching style and the kind of space you hold? My teaching style is down to earth, warm and supportive with lots of exploration and fun. But I can also hold a quiet, peaceful space where you might find an opportunity to rest a little more deeply.

  • How do you want people to feel when they leave your class?People come to yoga for different reasons and my hope would be that they leave my classes feeling different than when they arrived. They might feel more peaceful, more connected, stronger and more mobile, rested. Somebody once said after a class, ‘you get exactly what it says on the tin’.

  • What can someone expect if they’re coming to your class for the first time? Somebody coming to class for the first time can expect to be welcomed and put at ease. I love teaching yoga to beginners and if you are new to yoga, and maybe even to movement, come and give the beginners class a try.

  • Is there a quote, mantra, or philosophy that guides your teaching – or your life? Slow down! Embrace the opportunities to do nothing.

  • What do you do for fun outside of teaching? My idea of fun these days is walking in the great outdoors with friends, reading a novel, followed by some staring into space. I quite enjoy a regular dose of weight lifting too.
